The 14th Anhui Province Science Popularization Creative Innovation Competition for a Million College Students in a Hundred Universities (hereinafter referred to as the "Double Hundred" Competition), sponsored by the Provincial Association for Science and Technology, the Provincial Department of Education, and the Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League, has been launched. In order to select excellent projects for the provincial competition, our college has decided to hold the 14th Science Popularization Creative Innovation Competition and the "Double Hundred" Competition within the college. The relevant matters are notified as follows:
I. Guiding Ideology
Adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, fully implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the first and second plenary sessions of the 20th Central Committee, implement the requirements of the "Implementation Plan of the Outline of the National Action Plan for Scientific Literacy of All People in Anhui Province (2021-2025)" and the "Implementation Opinions of the General Office of the People's Government of Anhui Province on Developing Mass Innovation Spaces to Promote Mass Innovation and Entrepreneurship", guide and help the majority of young students to establish a strong sense of social responsibility, vigorously promote the spirit of science, actively participate in scientific communication practice, continuously enhance their ability to innovate and start businesses, mobilize the whole society to further care for, help and support young students' innovation and entrepreneurship, promote the formation of a good social atmosphere for mass entrepreneurship and innovation, and make new contributions to improving the scientific literacy of all people and writing a new chapter in the construction of a modern and beautiful Anhui.

III. Participants
All undergraduate and graduate students (hereinafter referred to as college students) of the School of Computer and Information Science, Hefei University of Technology. When participating in the competition as a team, the number of members should not exceed 6 (inclusive).
IV. Competition Content
The competition works mainly include two categories, one is science popularization works; the other is science popularization performances. We focus on supporting works in frontier and advantageous fields such as quantum information, fusion energy, deep space exploration, advanced integrated circuits, next-generation artificial intelligence, network security and cognitive confrontation.
(1) Science Popularization Works
These mainly include physical science popularization works, science popularization animations, science popularization micro-videos, science popularization games, science popularization novels, science popularization picture books, etc.
1. Physical Science Popularization Works
These include physical works that can be used for science popularization exhibitions and displays.
Submission content: photos of the physical work, demonstration video (duration of 3 minutes, not exceeding 5 minutes); application document (including work introduction, topic determination, scientific principles and methods, purpose and ideas, design scheme).
2. Science Popularization Animations
These include animations and comics that combine text and images, and sound and image, created using digital technology to process and store science popularization resources. Such as strip comics, story comics, four-grid animations, stop-motion animations, 2D/3D animation videos, etc.
Submission content: comics (minimum frame size requirement of 1920*1080P, single image not less than 2MB), animation video (work frame rate not less than 12 frames/second, duration of 3 minutes, not exceeding 5 minutes, duration and text relationship suggestion of 800-900 words/3 minutes, must have a complete opening and ending, the opening must have the name of the competition work, the narration or dialogue in the film can use Mandarin or dialect, must be marked with Chinese subtitles, references must be indicated); application document (including creation script, scientific principles and content, creation background, purpose and ideas, reference sources).
3. Science Popularization Micro-videos
These include but are not limited to short videos and micro-movies shot in various film and television styles.
Submission content: micro-video (duration of 3 minutes, not exceeding 5 minutes, work frame rate not less than 15 frames/second, must have a complete opening and ending, the opening must have the name of the competition work, the narration or dialogue in the film can use Mandarin, must be marked with Chinese subtitles, references must be indicated); application document (including work introduction, script script, scientific principles and content, creation background, purpose and ideas, reference sources).
4. Science Popularization Games
These include but are not limited to FLASH games, APP games, HMTL5 games, executable file EXE games, etc.
Submission content: game interface effect diagram, game operation demonstration video (duration of 3 minutes, not exceeding 5 minutes), game source code compressed package, game works support systems can be Android, IOS, Windows or MAC, etc.; application document (including work introduction, game script key points, scientific principles and content, creation purpose, design ideas).
5. Science Popularization Novels
These include literary works with the theme of science popularization.
Submission content: electronic version of the novel manuscript (total number of words between 1000 and 15000); application document (including work introduction, topic determination, scientific principles and methods, purpose and ideas).
6. Science Picture Books
These include related books that mainly consist of original paintings, original stories, and concise text to explain scientific knowledge.
Submission content: electronic version of the picture book (painting techniques are not limited, the original manuscript must be a whole piece, the maximum size is 25cm*35cm; single image not less than 2MB; length is not limited, four or more per group, each picture and text must be named in the order of the story); application document (including work introduction, creative explanation, script script, storyboard character design, scientific principles and methods, creation process).
All the above science popularization works submission formats of the application documents are Word (Office2007 and above versions); image formats are all JPG (resolution not less than 300DPI); video formats are all MP4, AVI or MOV (resolution is 1920*1080P, screen ratio is 16:9); compressed package formats are all RAR.
(II) Science Popularization Performance
This mainly includes science experiment shows, science popularization explanations, and science popularization short plays.
1. Science Experiment Show
Through the demonstration of scientific experiments, the educational elements of scientific experiments are combined with the fun elements of interactive performances. With the help of experimental props, the fun features of scientific knowledge and principles are highlighted. The equipment and materials required for the experiment are prepared by the contestants themselves; the experiment performance can be a solo or a team performance, the specific form is not limited.
Submission content: photos of the experiment show, video (the contestants choose the experiment content and shoot the process of the experiment show themselves, the duration should not exceed 10 minutes, there must be a complete title and end, the title must have the name of the entry, the dialogue uses Mandarin, must be marked with Chinese subtitles); declaration document (including a brief introduction of the work, creative explanation, purpose and method of creation, experiment design, scientific principles and methods).
2. Science Popularization Explanation
This includes explaining scientific knowledge, interpreting scientific principles, and telling scientific stories through narration, explanation, reading, and speech.
Submission content: explanation video (contestants shoot the explanation process themselves or record a PPT demonstration file, the time limit is 5 minutes, contestants can use multimedia and other means to assist in the explanation); declaration document (including a brief introduction of the work, creative explanation, purpose and method of creation, scientific principles and methods).
3. Science Popularization Short Play
This includes showing scientific knowledge and scientific principles through the performance of plays, such as creating situational plays, stage plays, dramas, song and dance plays, musicals, puppet plays, etc.
Submission content: short play video (contestants shoot the performance process themselves, contestants can prepare props, costumes and stage makeup according to the story plot, the performance time does not exceed 10 minutes); declaration document (including a brief introduction of the work, creative explanation, script content, purpose and method, scientific principles and methods).
All the declaration documents for the submission format of all science popularization performance works are Word (Office2007 and above versions); the photo format is JPG (resolution not less than 300DPI); the video format is MP4, AVI or MOV (resolution is 1920*1080P, the screen ratio is 16:9); the compressed package format is RAR.
V. Schedule
1. Before September 10, 2023, work declaration. Each contestant or team (the team number is limited to 2-6 people) applies for the project, and our college will select the projects to be recommended for the school competition for preliminary selection and optimization.
2. In mid-September 2023, the college competition works review. The college organizes experts to review the works of the college competition, determines the list of excellent works recommended to the school competition, the school organizes experts to review the recommended works, and determines the list of winners of the school competition.
3. October-November 2023, provincial competition. According to the results of the school competition, some excellent works are selected to participate in the provincial competition.
VI. Awards and Rewards
This competition sets up several special prizes, first prizes, second prizes, and third prizes, and selects excellent works to participate in the school competition and provincial competition.
For works that have won special prizes, first prizes, second prizes, and third prizes in the provincial competition, the provincial competition organizer will reward the members of the winning team.
VII. Related Requirements
