报告摘要: Neuropsychological testing is the gold standard for diagnosis of neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Within the Framingham Heart Study, a longitudinal research institution in the United States, the Boston Process Approach (BPA) has been shown to amplify the role of neuropsychology in the study of preclinical and clinical AD. Furthermore, the addition of digital technology has enhanced the sensitivity of BPA to detect insidious onset changes even earlier than had been previously possible. Recent developments may alter the ways in which cognitive function will be assessed going forward.
